Announcements
- Tanja's holidays - taking one week off this month, dates to be decided.
- 2 Grant applications submitted to EYF (Carfree cookbook & Mobility Justice)- should hear from them in 2 months.
- Next big grant deadline Dec. 1 (EC administrative grant). requires a lot of work from Tanja and Radka, including plan for 2009.
- Radka will be paid some money for her continued voluntary assistance.
- 2nd SC meeting took place on Tue. minutes will be uploaded to the members section
- RC database - Theo has made SPSS database to record sales over time, trends, provide graphs overviews etc. Theo will pass on to next volunteers.
- Sam's Future capital - Nathan has agreed to help with new t-shirts, bags etc. I have contacted Titom. more details in Oct Proposal document.
Updates
- CBS Web update from Justin: Contacted with volunteers ICC questions and concerns. Awaiting response. Justin has made changes to website concerning membership and fees - including survey. Justin will send links to ICC.
- Carbusters is one week ahead of Schedule. Layout and graphic design will begin Monday 13th. Cigdem and Nathan will be helping with design + art. Re-design of Coupon page. Aim to send to printers on Fri 24th - realistically 27th.
Weekly Reports
Sam: Web related: Updated CB radio code and added 3 new songs. Web meeting participation and CBS research. Solved problem with links in CB webpage. CB related: Met with graphic artist Nathan and solicited graphic work for mag, including full colour page and b&w portraiture. Edited and proofed core feature content. Compiled and collected WCFD reports and pictures for centrefold. Created base InDesign layout for 36. PR with Prague Post Editor in Chief, and People in Need RAXON project manager. Solicited further articles and graphics and continued research. Interviewed Andy Singer and began centrefold graphic design. Future Capital: printing cost research and preliminary discussions with contributing artists. Other: Created announcement for bulletin. Carfree Day prep, organisation and Participation. Info account checking. Development of Distributor database and preliminary tests. Compiled weekly report.
Tanja: Drafted agenda and facilitated SC meeting. EC debt has been finalised: guarantee letter sent to EC. Research into individual members - i.e what we should do with them. Contacing SC and internal list concerning their status and role in WCN, and how to develop. Preparing Management Committee meeting relating to Justin's position. Have begun WCFD evaluation - need internal and external evaluation. Finishing of current projects in preparation for holiday.
Justin: preparing my self-report, job description, detailed work history,; updating membership development proposal and communicating to SC, MC; preparing membership renewal survey; corresponding/managing programmers who offered to install cms to website; approaching yann arthus bertrand's 'action carbone' /goodplanet.org; for possible cooperation; calling jeroen and receiving update on conference; sent czech bulletin, some housekeeping

1. Bank Transfers
Theo contacted Radka concerning Bank Transfers. These cost us. Maybe we should introduce a policy for bank transfers to a minimum value. 100 EUR and above is most efficient amount.
Decision: We no longer accept bank transfers from EURO accounts below 100 EUR. This needs to be updated on the website + magazine. Chris will do this.
2. Internal WCD Evaluation
Decision: WCFD evaluation meeting scheduled for Wednesday 15th at 3pm.
3. Sam's work plan for October
Decision: According to Sam's proposal they will hire Sam for the month of October. Proposal Briefly: Magazine, How-to-guide, CB web updates, Distribution, Future Capital. Sam will forward detailed document to anyone interested.
4. Conference Coordination/contact person at ICC
Tanja suggests creating plan, contact person position within in the ICC. Theo/EVS will help, but EVS will all be leaving January, so it will be passed on to next.
