- People from 'European Advantage' conference coming tomorrow around 5 pm
- Gandalf Leaving - He leaves before 10 January (end of EVS). Going back to Sweden. Has ideas for improving Resource Centre. And who will take over running Resource Centre? It takes an average of 15 hours per week. Should be one person. Could be about development of Resource Centre, not just processing orders. Vincent will do it for next 6 weeks or longer, until at least next EVS volunteer arrives. Gandalf leaving party TBA.
- Cooking Schedule - Roeland organised it for coming weeks. On the wall.
- WCN Europe - Arie learned some info from Martin Rocholl of FOE Europe and from other research. We must have separate European branch within the international network. We might be able to just convert WCN-CZ into WCN Europe. But if both are registered nonprofits, WCN International should be clearly separated from WCN Europe and both should be financially independent. Website can be shared, with clear separation explained on it. Money can be transfered, according to specific contracts. WCN Europe can have projects that distribute publications outside Europe. Must be careful to keep projects in one entity or another. Do we still want to keep WCN-CZ? For DG Environment grant, it may be best to have WCN-CZ cease to exist upon the founding of WCN Europe. Steve will ask CEE Bankwatch about how to register as European org according to Czech law. We conclude that we are interested in transforming WCN-CZ into WCN Europe, but more info needed to know best way to go about it. We'll also going to look into getting WCN International official (registered with UN accreditation?). Randy will ask Steering Committee.
- Biketour Final Report - It's due Dec. 21. Randy will do financial part; Roeland will meet in Prague or Vienna with Jan to do text part, and to deliver bike trailer money.
- Carbusters #26 - Suggestions for education theme: Explore connections between car companies and schools. Carfree campuses: why important and how to implement (examples: Toronto, Austin, Stanford?). Children in 'developing' world. Contacts: Giselle, Debra, UN HABITAT. We'll give Tanja a subscription.
- Carbusters.org - We reviewed volunteer Nina's draft re-design. We liked it and gave a few comments, which Steve will pass on.
