Announcements:

• Randy: The Bogota 'TRUE' youth exchange is coming together. All the participants from Brazil, Colombia and Mexico are confirmed. I could really use help finding three Czech participants, age 18-25. At the moment I'm working half-time on the conference/exchange, and half time on Autoholics. I just can't find time for the trip to the Yorkshire coast to do that Carbusters article on the largely carfree fishing villages this trip. However, I've written a call-out for the Carbusters #29 design competition, and will organise a related activity in Bogota. Next week I'm on holiday, as my parents will be here. I'm back in Prague on the 17th or 18th, then going to Bogota from the 27th-3rd.
• Randy: Autoholics Anonymous report: The York Cycle Rally was mostly a shopping event, so no success there. I did however prepare a useful AA outreach flyer. I've been working with Steve to fill in some detail of the project and how it will work. Also we're working with Cristian on the website and ads. This week I will contact potential project partners, and places where we hope to advertise. Also, I've started working on creating a 12-month 12-step programme that follows the calendar year 2007. I will get Anna Semlyen's feedback on it. Regarding an AA staff person, I hope to know by the end of this week whether it will be Richard Lane or a friend of his (who has a transport campaigning background and works part-time for York City Council). Once the person is chosen, we will have an address and phone number that can be used to order Paypal for the AA website, which I'd like to do next week even though I'll be officially on holiday.
