1. EVS
- The ICC will be choosing three new EVS volunteers for 2009.
DECISION: A meeting will be held on Friday at 3.00 to determine the best candidates. The criteria are: experience with journalism or web design/management or project management or graphic design.
2. Carfree Day
- The WCN wants to coordinate the media promotion of the World Carfree Day.
There is a need for people to dedicate time with promoting the WCD. Currently, there is no one immediately in charge of that.
DECISION: Tanja will be contacting people to take more responsibility. For instance, there is need for a media spokesperson. While promotion already takes place in Facebook, we will also build a wiki site. A call-out to the general list for someone with knowledge to build a wiki, yielded no results. Tanja will check the process out.
3. Phone Calls
- Clarifying rules for phone calls.
DECISION: If we must use international calls, use skype as much as we can. We will buy credit for skype when Tanja gets access to the credit card. If the line is bad, we will then use smart call.
4. WCN Skype
- Maintaining the WCN Skype
DECISION: Theo will be keeping online with the WCN Skype.
5. Magazine Redesign
- We now have the possibility to redesign the layout of the magazine.
DECISION: We need to develop this into a project with someone coordinating it fully. Budget, time restraints and volunteer opportunities must be taken into consideration. Currently, we will delay re-designing the magazine so that it coincides with corresponding changes to the website.
6. Resource Center orders.
- The Resource Center needs stickers and T-shirts.
DECISION: Currently the financial situation is fragile, so we will wait one week before placing orders, so as to place a bigger order, if possible, and save some money.
7. CAPP (Carfree Area Pilot Project)
- Franz Skala wants us to participate in this project, which will be applying for a big grant next year. This will require significant work input from someone from the WCN.
DECISION: The ICC will ask from the people who had in the past participation in the project (Randy, Markus, Justin) for an assessment of past performance and a project plan in order to conclude whether it is feasible to participate in the 2009 project. If there is no assessment, the ICC cannot take the risk to participate in the project again.
8. Job descriptions.
- The ICC will create job descriptions for the staff and volunteers.
DECISION: Tanja will compile all information from staff and volunteers and discuss with the SC the various job descriptions.
