1. T-shirt design competition
- We'd like to organise a competition for original (bike) t-shirts. It's been a while for having new designs and the open call doesn't have much effect. Open for individuals and member organisations. Can be a project for new EVS volunteer (Chris?).
DECISION: Sam and probably Chris will be organising. Announce in next magazine, they'll come up with theme and deadlines.
2. Carbusters subscription boost
- Because we're updating the magazine prices for 2008 it's good to contact all the former subscribers so they have the chance to renew before the new prices. We have the contacts in our database, although a lot is old.
DECISION: We're sending out an e-mail to the contacts we have in the database (letter is too expensive). Today or tomorrow (Sam and Bas).
3. Nesst - CB survey
- We want to do a survey for Carbusters magazine. The Nesst project encourages this, as part of the business plan.
DECISION: We'll finish the questionnaire before christmas holidays (Justin, Sam). First week of January the survey goes online and we'll send out e-mails (Justin, Bas). We might mention it in next magazine (to be confirmed).
4. Computer situation
- Some pc's are slow and the network is not always working properly. We need to find someone professional to deal with it, since no-one in the office is very talented for this.
DECISION: Kamila will look for someone to come in december. We should sort out for every pc what we use and safe it separately.
5. Volunteers in WCN
- We collected possible tasks for volunteers (not EVS):
-Green Pages updates
-CB magazine:
Design cover or centrefold/features (graphic designers)
Research for articles/info for world news, studies, action etc. (idem for Bulletin)
Help distribute old free copies (around Prague)
Proofreading
Search for advertisers
Make a list with libraries and universities to send magazines
-Update Member Orgs contact details
-Research for fundraising
-Design (or find) t-shirts
-Translate Bulletin (to specific languages)
DECISION: Bas will sent an e-mail with the options to the people that showed interest in the last year. + Put it online in members only section.
6. Bulletin
- New section in bulletin? "Member projects" to highlight activities Member Orgs are doing. It shouldn't make more text for the bulletin, cause in general it's already quite long. It's not sure people read it all. We should include something about it in the survey maybe..
Reminder: We also want to expand the languages for the bulletin.
DECISION: We can try the new section in the next bulletin.
(We can include a few questions about the bulletin or send separate questions to the list. We will discuss this again.)
7. WCN banner
- We decided a while ago that Member Orgs should have our banner on their website. We could also write to the carfree discussion list.
DECISION: We'll contact the Member Orgs and write to the discussion list. (Justin)
8. Christmas party
- We should do a Christmas lunch in the office and go for a drink after.
DECISION: It will be next Thursday 13/12! Lunch at 16h (Kamila and Sam cook). We'll invite Daniel, Honza, etc. Everyone brings one present (not expensive and sustainable;).
