ICC Meeting - August 31, 2005 Present: Arie, Gandalf, Lutra, Randy, Steve

Announcements

  • Jason Meggs is no longer contact person and board member for WCN USA. New person is Gus Yates of Carfree City USA
  • Randy in US Sept.8-24. Will set up bank account for WCN USA.
  • Lutra off next week Wednesday-Monday (will have meeting on Tuesday instead - 3pm)
  • Tanja off til Friday (vacation)
  • Gandalf gone Monday, Tue, Wed next week
  • Steve not here tomorrow (thursday)
  • Biketour trip: Randy reports from trip to Moldova to take care of Ecotopia bike tour finances. Helped pay for bicyclists' visas. Possibility to do tour again in 2006. One of our bike trailers was destroyed in an accident, another will stay in Bosnia until the next tour.
  • Village Voice wrote article about NYC campaign
  • Green Pages now officially online. Gandalf will write people to place banners.

Agenda - Biketour We are interested in hosting international coordinator for biketour in our office. Person should be female. We will write grant for biketour if we have coordinator. Coordinator should spend 50% of work on other WCN projects. Gandalf will write to biketour list to get theme and route for tour within 4weeks. National coordinators would meet at our May 2006 meeting in Czech Republic for youth organisers. Still waiting for Roeland to say if he is going to do his Future Capital Project on biketour and whether he would want to be its international coordinator.

- New material suggestion for resource centre Randy proposes Carfree shopping bags (he recently got ahold of some material). Randy's girlfriend Annie will sew bags for free.

- Project coordination Our office needs a timeline of projects on the wall. Will be done.

- Posters for NYC campaign Need to make room for local organisers to include their information (event, etc.). Fix a few typos.

- Zivnostensky list (Business licence in order to pay people on freelance basis). Payment for Oct-Dec 2005. You won't get paid unless you get Zivnostensky list.

- Arie working full-time Is interested in doing fulltime work, since she has been working a lot extra and wouldn't mind working officially fulltime. We will look into financing options. And she gets overtime August and September fulltime (will work fulltime in Sept.)

- Lutra's extra money Would like to be reimbursed for holidays not taken and extra time spent on audit this year. We agree to give her a bonus of 20,000CZK.

- Other extra money We promised Randy that we would cover his plane ticket to the US last year because he was doing WCN presentations. Since we didn't, we will cover his trip this September. We also owe him US$1000.

- Hiring a part-time accountant No luck in finding someone yet. (Lutra placed ad) Lutra can do some work such as handling cash box until we find someone.

- Office Hours Everybody has agree to be here 3-5pm. New rules: You must call ahead if you cannot make it. If possible, say at the preceding meeting if you cannot make regular hours or meeting. If there is an emergency or sickness, call main office phone (do not send text) as early in the day as possible. Write down that person called and reason for not coming. If a problem occurs three times, it needs to be discussed at a meeting. This needs to be changed in office manual.

P.S. People are cleaning up their dishes. Yeah!
